So I post on the forums under my gts account. And I get this today. I thought J-T-W-NY was banned? What did gts do? And my posts are so incidientary. The forums are worse off for my jokes and pictures.
Still waiting for customer service to complete their investigation of Home and these charges against me.
The reason you were banned were for 2 reasons.

2. Your JTWNY account was banned so by using your gts account, you were " avoiding a ban"
that's why you were banned again. sucks :(
MY opinion? Home would be a lot better off without those stupid forums, or at least have them in a different location with more competent moderators.

ReplyDelete1.) I once had an account SUSPENDED for "text abuse" and I called Sony to find out why (and boy did they tell me EXACTLY down to reading the chat log back to me LOL). I was then told that I could go ahead and make a 2nd account so as to "get by" for the next 30 days. Sounds to me like it is A-OK to have multiple accounts.
2.) The J-T-W-NY account was perma banned due to "account spamming" but the reason given has nothing to do with the reason Rianor says. Just read what J-T-W-NY herself said the phone rep said in her earlier blog posting.
3.) Both the GTS and the JTW accounts have been around for a long time. This isn't a new thing. So the fact that both accounts have gone a long time with no issues and based on what Sony tole me (see my point 1) then the issue isn't having more than one account.
I guess we'll have to see what Sony has to say but so far the reason given is bogus. I know GTS/JTW and she wouldn't do that nor have a need to do it.
My reply was made how it is because, i've been told by mods and admins at the lithium forums, that " alt " accounts aren't allowed, so essentially, more than 1 account. I have no idea the backstage reasons for anything that's happened to our friend here, I was just going by what i have been told before from lithium mods and admins.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize when I first read this that the GTS account was banned from the forum. I just realized that now looking at the picture (and having just talked to her).
ReplyDeleteI don't understand this whole forum thing ... they seem to have or suggest that they have rules that Sony itself do not have outside of the forum.
For instance a Sony employee TOLD me to make another account when telling me that my "main account" was suspended.
GTS is not suspended from going onto Home (Tm) but she is suspended from the forums?
It makes so sense!
Tell me Rianor. Make an ethical judgement. Is this right or wrong? Is it just that I'm permanently banned for stealing when there is no evidence? And is it right that I"m banned from the forums even though my posts are productive and supportive of Home?
ReplyDeleteThis is not a question of realpolitik, this is an ethical judgement you need to make. And if you say it is just, then we need to have a serious talk my friend.
When did this turn into if i thought it was ethical or not? of course it's not ethical that you're banned without any proof. innocent until proven guilty right?
